Baby Dolls Come Alive
I don’t know about you, but I hate dolls. I always have. They are just creepy looking. Now, to make matters worse, you can’t even walk down the toy isle without these dolls moving and crying or laughing and talking. What the heck is wrong with the toy makers of today?! Are they trying to give little girls (and adults) nightmares on purpose. Why the hell would you make these damn things motion activated?!! These things are horrible. I can’t stand them at all. What an evil thing to do to these dolls. There is nothing cute about a doll moving or talking on its own. I remember my little one asking for a doll called “Baby Alive”, yeah, just the name says it all. Right?! Anyway, I don’t like buying dolls, I don’t like them in plain sight, I don’t like knowing that we have some in the house, but my hubby had to buy it for the princess. Well, one evening while he was in our room and I was in the living room with the little one. I hear him yell for me. I’m wondering what happened because he never really yells for me like that. I get to the room and open the door, he’s in bed with the covers pulled up to his eyes. I was totally caught off guard. He looked like he had just seen a ghost. I ask him what’s wrong and he says that the doll started talking. Okay, one thing about this doll is that it is not motion activated, you literally have to push a button on her wrist to make her talk. So, I pick the doll up off the floor (yes, that’s how well my little one takes care of her toys) and I take a look at it and start pushing the buttons yada, yada. I turn it over and noticed it was on “Demo”. Okay, here’s the problem, I tell him. I take it off of demo and walk out. About fifteen minutes later, I hear him yell again. What now?, I’m thinking. I go to the room and he’s still under the blanket. What? I say. He says that she did it again. Now I’m thinking he’s just messing with me. I grab the doll and then I decide to turn her off completely, so, even if you pushed the button she won’t speak. Before I left the room, I decided to be a jerk and I propped the doll up on the ironing board in a way to where she was looking straight at him in a creepy and scary way and then I ran out the door. I couldn’t help but laugh and my son walked in asking me why I was laughing. I told him and then he went to the room and I followed him. My hubby was all the way under the covers. Hahaha. He didn’t even want to look at us. My son grabbed the doll and threw it on the bed with him. He jumped up out of bed and said we weren’t funny. Probably not, but that sure was funny. He ended up throwing the doll away and made up some lie to the little one as to why he did and he promised her he’d get her a new doll. She’s still waiting. Hahahahaha. When I was little, my brother and I put all my dolls and stuffed animals on the railroad tracks next to our house. They all died spectacularly. That is the only fun thing to do with dolls.

Haha. Sweet. I used to throw my neighbors dolls out of our second story window and watch them hit the floor. It was awesome. I was pretty mean when it came to dolls, only because I hate them so much. I remember pulling their heads and limbs off and mixing their body parts only to attach them to a different body. It was funny to me but probably disturbing to them. 😉

But it’s not just dolls! Some of the kids toys like play telephones talk too! When my oldest was a toddler, he left this little “cordless telephone simulator thingy” on the couch. That night, while my husband while my husband sat on the floor in front of our television playing one of his PlayStation games, the phone rang and this creepy little boy’s voice chimed in and said, “Hello Daddy, can I play?” I’m not exactly sure as to where that darn toy disappeared to! Great post!

Hahaha. Oh my gosh, I bet your husband was as freaked out as mine. I’ve had my fair share of paranormal activities, but I have to admit, the dolls thing is just super creepy. Especially when they say, “I want to play”, or something to that affect. Hahaha. Thanks for sharing. I love it.
