School Field Trip
So, I just got back from a field trip that I attended with my daughter and her class mates. Guess who decided to show up? As I’m on the bus that is crowded with loud, obnoxious, screaming, shoving kids. Claustrophobia begins to creep up on me and all of a sudden I start feeling a panic attack rising to the occasion. Breathe. Take a deep breath. Let it out. Relax. You’re fine. Come on Anxiety, don’t you dare.
Oh please, oh please, not now Anxiety. I’m begging you. Don’t do this to me. Not in front of my daughter or her class mates. Please!! You know how embarrassed she’ll be. Just wait for me at the house. I promise I’ll be back by noon. This trip means a lot to my little one and if you take me away right now, she’ll be crushed. Let me do this, you know it’s not often, hell, not ever, that I get to do things like this with my little one because you’re always there to take me away. I am asking you nicely to back off just until we get back to the school, then, I’m all yours. Can you do that for me? Please?!!
Thank you. I’m all yours.
