To Smoke Or Not To Smoke
Let’s get back to the smoking thing I mentioned last night. The hubby and I went to the casino to play bingo and they have a non smoking section which is always packed so we never get a spot in that section. Then there is this huge area where smoking is allowed. Also, they have a food thingy where you can order food and eat while you play. Okay, so we got stuck in the smoking section and there weren’t too many people at our table, so that was a good thing because I sure didn’t want to have a panic attack or feel closed in because of my claustrophobia. Anyway, we got settled in and the hubby went to order our food. As I’m sitting at the table waiting, a lady and her husband were sitting directly across from me and mine. The lady pulls out a cigarette and lights up. She’s blowing smoke in every direction without a care in the world. And I know it’s a smoking free for all but like I said, you can be considerate if you wanted to be. So, I’m covering my face in a way to not appear rude as she’s puffing away. All I was thinking was, “I hope she won’t smoke while we’re eating.”, I hate to eat when people are smoking. It just messes it up for you, you know? Well, the hubby comes back with our food and the lady had finished her ciggy. I thought, “cool, perfect timing.”, so we start to enjoy our meal, then the lady’s husband gets up and walks about 6 or 7 feet back and lights up a ciggy. I was like, “Wow, that’s so awesome and considerate of him”. So we’re eating and playing and before I knew it, the lady lights up and this gigantic cloud of smoke surrounds us like a blanket. I’m coughing and she’s blowing out every two seconds like nothing. I’m looking at her as if to give her a hint. She’s not trying to look my way but has no problem blowing her smoke my way. I couldn’t eat any more. She totally ruined my appetite and I just pushed my food aside. She could care less. I wish she would have been more like her husband. At least I appreciated him for being so kind and considerate, unlike her. So, the whole time we were there, I think this lady lit up about ten times. I’m not even joking. She smoked more than a chimney in winter. I was getting a headache and started feeling like I was getting emphysema just sitting there. To top it off, we didn’t even win. Not one stinking game!!
