Royal Highness

I remember being sent to live with “The Aunt” for a while. Yup!!! The big mouth, crazy, rude, mean aunt. I’m not sure exactly why, but I think she was supposedly going to change me for the better. Yeah right!!! Anyway, she had two kids of her own so we were all in one room sleeping on bunk beds. I was stuck on the bottom one and it terrified me. I would literally lay in bed with my arms extended as if to hold up the top bunk. You see, I was afraid it would fall on me while I slept so most nights I was too scared to go to sleep. When they all fell asleep I would get up and go lay down on the couch just for a little shut eye. The aunt didn’t like that. I had to stay in that bed and not get up. She would start randomly checking up on me. If ever I hated being somewhere, it w as there. I couldn’t stand living with her. She had money from her late husband so she had a nice home and nice things, but she acted like she was too good for you, like we were beneath her and we should be so lucky to live with her or be in her presence. Get off your throne oh high and mighty!! That’s what I wanted to say to her so bad.
